CBCS collections does not take your money for their own personal gain.They also do not track you down,they just call your house and if your not home,they'll call again in a day if it is important. I know this because my mother used to work there and most days they dont even get calls or money. All of their money goes to the state or the government.

You can think what ever you want,CBCS trys to help it does not steal and it does not bother you constantly.

I had Verizon but the debt was discharged in bankruptcy. I wouldn't say CBCS is entirely at fault, as it it obviously Verizon that handed the account over to CBCS. I just mailed them back their own bill today and simply told them 1)Cease writing and calling me. 2)The bill was discharged in bankruptcy and its illegal to continue to try and collect. If they have any issues with Verizon passing them a bad account, well then... their problem.

CBCS has harassed us for a year for "sales tax" on our former business in another state. Researched this and even sent copies of checks sent to that state years ago. we do not owe them anything. (The business closed 6 years ago.) Even checked with our former accountant there. I'm REALLY getting fed up with guys....and they are arrogant and rude.

You don't know what you are talking about Kbake. CBCS has numerous lawsuits and are being investigated by the Ohio Attorney General's office concerning unfair business practices and violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA). They collect on debts previously satisfied and violate provisions set forth in the FDCPA daily. I'm not concerned with your mother's employment with CBCS but rather their illegal treatment of my gradmother.

CBCS did track down my husband, over an account that did not even belong to us. They said the phone numbers they had for him were not valid so they tracked down his parents and left a message with them. This "account" that we owed on was completely bogus. Maybe when your mom worked there, they were legit, but they have since changed.
